Who, What, When, Where, Why, and How?
Who: My 14 (soon to be 15!) year old son, myself (44 at the start of this journey) and our 5 year old mixed breed dog - Gidget Bear. What: A cross-country RV adventure When: Starting in the Fall of 2025 Where: Starting in NY (our hometown) and rambling around the US and Canada Why: For some folks, the American Dream involves a white picket fence, a 50 hour (or more) work week, and a meticulously manicured lawn. After years of scrambing to stay ahead of bills and attempts to find the ever elusive "work-life balance," we have finally embraced that we need something different. There is a whole world out there to explore, and we are ready! How: We will be leaving our beloved Villa VillaJUIJE (The home we have spent the last 6 1/2 years in) and hitting the road! I will still be teaching and tutoring (in person from time to time and remote at other times), and my son's survivor benefits will support us too. Stay tuned for all our updates and adventures!
